  2. purchased PipBoxer v2.0.6 demo and started forward-test on this new version with the new suggested risk settings. took a while to configure this complex Expert Advisor. currently trading only the “top 5″ : GBPJPY, GBPUSD, USDJPY, AUDUSD, EURGBP (all on M15 timeframe) http://www.pipboxer.com/news.php#Top-5%20Risk%20Allocation

  1. got new version of KISS v1.4[daily] after asking creator why v1.3 was not performing. seems like quite a bit of changes since v1.3[date]. different timeframe and paramaters. KISS v1.3[date] detailed report archived. installed v1.4[daily] with following settings : GBPUSD, M15 chart, all other settings “as is”. comments from the creator : “Please note this EA trades almost EVERY DAY. This means more potential profit but also larger drawdown. Expect up to 250 pips of drawdown with this EA and plan your lot size accordingly.”

19 oct 2007

  1. was supposed to close loosing trade for RobinHood demo but decided not to even though the loss was at one point just -60 pips. held on to it (not recommended) to see what will happen on monday.
  2. still in the process of getting FX-Bandit and PipForia’s Hedge Grid Expert Advisors for forward-testing.

22 oct 2007

  1. market opened with a gap on the EURUSD which stopped out RobinHood *ouch!*. thereafter, it suffered yet another -140 pips stop-loss. the demo account for RobinHood is now under $4,000… it will require a miracle to have enough winners to bring it back to $10,000. on hindsight, this is something that is very likely to happen when trading with a huge risk (ie. it was risking 45%). 2 drawdowns in a row and you’re practically out of the game. the 6 pips take-profit and 140 pips stop-loss is proving itself to be a recipe for disaster. i’m going to let it run in the background and focus on other Expert Advisors now.
  2. DoublePlay made a great win!… catching a 100 pips winner (the max it’s set to take) which almost made up for it’s 2 previous losses. too bad i’ve yet to enable DoublePlay on my LIVE account. will be turning it on once it clocks another winner :O)
  3. got PipForia’s Hedge Grid and FX-Bandit early morning and had them set up to start trading.

23 oct 2007

  1. wow!! it’s scary to see how the PipForia’s Hedge Grid system trades… but it sure did it’s thing! up +4.10% in 1 day… amazing!
  2. another shocker! FX-Bandit closed 16 trades in 1 day (100% winners!)… growing the account by +19.78%! however, it’s holding on to 2 big nasty losers and overall equity is down about -4% despite the 16 winners. i like what it’s doing so far… exploiting correctly spotted trends by adding on new positions. from what i read in the manual that came with the demo, the strategy has some good trade management logic. let’s see how it manages the losers now…
