consistency is the name of the game…
ok ok… i could almost hear some saying… “why does ck keep talking and blogging about PIPforia?” well… simply because it’s the best thing working for me right now. i’m not saying that nothing else out there beats PIPforia. but if you have found something that works well for you, please leave a comment at the bottom of this post and let us know about it ok? (thanks in advance!!… we all need your help :O)
if you are bored to death hearing about PIPforia, you might want to read the previous post that i did about 1 hour ago first. i talked about “The World’s Top 3 Expert Advisors”.
so… how have i been doing with PIPforia in Jan 2009? taking a break after the new year, i started trading only on 12 Jan. must admit that Jan has been quite tough. had to cut loss a few times. the below equity graph for the month reflects that.

since trading exclusively with the PIPfori HGM EA from Sept 2008, last month has been my worst performing month. however, i’m still happy to be able to end it with a positive gain. it’s nothing to scream about, but i’m pleased nonetheless :O)

if you are my friend in FaceBook, you’ll probably know that Kevin Capozzi and i are honored to be able to bring the PIPforia seminars to Dubai in about 2 weeks time. if you are living in Dubai or in a neighboring country, you might wanna drop by at one of the sessions where Kevin shares with you his experiences in trading with the PIPforia strategies. you should click on the image below if you would like to find out more about the PIPforia-Dubai Seminars happening on 17th, 18th and 19th Feb 2009.
i’m going to take it easy with my trading this month and enjoy a well deserved holiday in Dubai with me wifey starting next week! till then… HAPPY TRADING!! :O)

Hey CK, if you would say doing 10% a month for Jan so far is tough, you have just fared better than many traders out there who lose their pants again and again with FX trading my friend. So, give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done and cutting 3 losses in a month is no biggie. Perhaps for the way your strategy trades, it might be a tough call. Anyway, i don’t want to compare and contrast between stuffs that work or don’t, but primarily one has to find his/her comfort level and “style” to best trade their way.
All the best for your Dubai trip CK and have some fun :)

Greetings to you.
I have tried using the Pipforia demo EA using manual as well as leaving it as automatic. Over the past 2 months, I have burst 5 demo accounts each starting with USD 10K. IMHO, Pipforia 2.11 EA needs further finetuning in order to provide people with a constant regular month profits.
At the same time, I have also demo tested the Pointbreak latest version dated 21 Dec 2008. I have 5 demo accounts starting with USD 10K setting them at risk 1 to 5 respectively. All 5 Pointbreak demo accounts are above their initial capital and giving an average of 5% return a month. You may want to check it out.
Regards.

Greetings.
I was reviewing CK’s account 102627 history. I found that the lots size is fix (example 0.04). However, my demo account using the Pipforia HFv2.11 showed that there is some element of doubling the lot size (something like martingale effect). I wonder if its bcos of the setting of the EA parameter. May be CK can help to enlighten me on this.
Regards.

Greetings.
Terence again adding to my earlier comments. CK’s 102627 account history has many buy stop and sell stop cancelled. My demo testing on the Pipforia HGv2.11 does not have any buy stop and sell stop cancelled. I am wondering if I am using a different version of Pipforia HG EA. Will be interesting to hear from CK. Regards.

Hi, about ATC Competition. I think people are confusing competion and consistent money making. If I was to take part in ATC I would design EA that win huge of blow the account, why? because that is the best way to win in competition! You need to take huge risk to win relatively short period competition - this has very little to do with real trading with controlled DD and volatility… Think about it :-) !!

I haven’t had huge losses with pipforia, but i haven’t had many winners either. I am also running dnafxtrader from dnafxtrading.com which has been very consistent for me. I like it because the winners seem to be 10 times bigger than any loss which means good money management … and you can set how much you want to risk based on your account size and it figure that out automatically. If you are looking for an EA that is consistent and actually works, i would try them out first.
