Bogie-NN-v8… almost +40% in just over 2 weeks!!

yes… William Boatright is back… with a vengeance :O)

the Bogie-NN-v8 is William Boatright’s latest Neural Network Expert Advisor. details of the EA can be found on his website : http://bogie-enterprises.com

the Bogie-NN-8 EA was officially launched on 1st June 2008. and this time round, William has made available a FREE DEMO that will work till 1st Sept 2008 (a very rare practice for commercial EAs, but a very welcomed move for consumers!)

i got my copy a few days before it’s official release, and have been forward-testing it since 28th May 2008. the forward-test statement (updated every 30 mins) can be found here : http://www.ckowyong.com/blog/statements/bogie-neuralnetwork-8/statement.htm

i’m running the demo on default settings… and in just barely 3 weeks, the demo account is up almost +40% (it would be +53.11% if i closed the existing trade to take the $1,326.00 profit!… that’s 191 pips!)

William Boatright is highly respected in the EA development community. i believe his niche is in optimization. a friend in Facebook once called him the “Optimization Beast”… and that’s a compliment :O)

anyway, in my opinion, William is a good man. since his fame at the ATC2007, he’s been working really hard in replicating the success that he had in a very challenging market. with the relaease of Bogie-NN-v8, i believe he has created something that deserves our attention.  but putting all the excitement aside, i must also declare my reservations about this EA (or any other EAs that show excellent forward-testing results, fondly remembering the older version of DoublePlay and RobinHood).

being bitten by the Bogie-ATC2007-1 EA back in Jan 2008 with many others, the million-dollar question in my mind now (and i believe you would be asking too) is…

“how long will this last?“.

BUT…. there’s also another louder voice in my head that’s bugging me with…

“JUST DO IT!… WHILE IT’S STILL WORKING!!“

this is going to be a thought that’s going to be with me through the weekend. i’ll be looking into the statement more carefully to determine if the risks are acceptable, as well as if the entries are good from the start. will post a preliminary “review” about Bogie-NN-v8 hopefully by Monday. do stay tuned!!

    I am trading demo from 12th September Forex Roboteer EA (3 in 1 system) and its doing fine. I would suggest please have a look into it.

    The Bogie demo which is supposed to expire on Sept 1 has stopped functioning since yesterday August 27. This was alerted to me by a friend.

    Has anyone else experienced this? It would be awful if the actually program failed to function when real account is trading.

    Please I need urgent answers to my questions.

    1. How advisable is it using the Bogie-NN-V8 on a live account of 300USD. This is all I can afford for now.

    2. I am a rookie, though I've been doing a little bit of research for some months, I have not started demo trading. I hope to start demo trading soon, and I'll like to subscribe for the Bogie software, can I make my payment via my credit card.

    Can the Bogie-NN-V8 work with a live account of $400 to bring profit. And is it possible to pay my subscription via my mastercard credit card. I'm based in South Africa, but I got my Mastercard credit card from my Home country Nigeria.

    these guys only have an email address as contact information. so i guess that's your only chance. you could try sending your complaint to PayPal since they were the payment gateway.

    the expiration date file should be named something like "bogie-v8.ini"
    you should stick it in C:\Program Files\Interbank FX Trader 4\experts\files
    if still unable to work, please contact William Boatright for assistance (if you have not already done so).

    Thanks Kriswara for your help. Still having the same problem. Been working on solving it for quite some time. Even downloaded new MT4. In the NN v8 operating instructions it says to install the expiration date file. Where is this located as this might be my problem. Thanks again for any help

    I too have the same problem when I installed it to the chart.
    Just follow as stated below :
    1.go to the expert file,there you will see 4 files (files,library,idicator,bogie-nn-v8b.demo.ex4)
    2.I am sure you have already copy the bogie demo to your chart.
    Now,do the same thing as for other files i.e (files,indicator & library) to the respective files in your demo chart.
    This is what I did,now all perfect & my enter & exit are identical to ckowyong's.demo (refresh every 30 min}

    I have installed the free Bogie NN v8 yesterday. When installed to the chart, the upper left hand corner shows Bogie NN-v8 INITIALIZING. The smiley face is up but is not trading. Any suggestions how to correct the initializing? Thanks in advance for any help

    Stay away from Robo Trader. It hasn't turned one profit out of 4 trades.

    I requested a refund along with a statement showing them NO profit as requested by their Guarantee Policy and they haven't responded.

    Any ideas on how to proceed. Thanks in advance.
  • hi Atique,
    FXDD does not allow lot size smaller than 0.1 lots. it could be that the EA is trying to open a trade smaller than 0.1 lots because of your small account size.
    try running on a 10K demo... or increase your risk setting to 10.

I have opened the demo account on https://secure.ibfx.com/Accounts/OpenDemo.aspx and have downloaded MT4 terminal. Then I started Interbank FX Trader 4 but can't access to your demo: Message '2034350': connect failed [Invalid account].

    What I do incorrectly?

    A : very much depends on the design of the EA and how the market behaves. William will be able to give a more intelligent answer. that said, i trust that William will do everything necessary to give his subscribers the latest optimised settings, so as to keep everyone profiting and subscribed month after month after month. that's the only way his business can sustain.

    Q: Is this software will run life ? or one off
    A : it's strictly by subscription. either monthly, or 3 / 6 / 12 months renewable. price goes linearly up... so there's no savings even if you went for the 12 months and paid $475.20 (still $39.60 per month).

    Q: Who will be resposible for regular upgrade ?
    A : William will inform customers once upgrades are available, and customers will need to perform the upgrades themselves.

    I have been checking your site since April 08

    I am very impressed with the performace new version Bogie-nn-v8. It amazing how on earth this EA chage direction from buy to sell and vice versa and no TP.

    Only downside and stumbling block is SL 200.I am sure in near future author will over the as well.

    I dont mind paying subscription via your email.

    My question is how often it need to be optimized ?

    Is this software will run life ? or one off

    Who will be resposible for regular upgrade ?

    just follow the guide that came with it. as long as you see the smiley face, you should be ok. if you see a trade on my demo but not on your's, you should then review the setup and contact William for assistance.

    Hi I am using the demo version of bogie v8...but I can't seem to understand how to make it do automatic opening and closing of trades..as I am new to this..can you tell me what setting I should put it to to make it do trades by itself instead of me opening and closing the trades myself..tak care.

    Hi,
    I downloaded this EA and configured to default settings mentioned in document. It opened a trade few hours after starting this EA, it bought USDEUR 2.5 Mini lot (250$ worth of investment), it was progressing with good profit showing 20 $, then power got shut down, I restarted MT once power was back, I left the MT as it is and went for sleep, next day morning I'm seeing 250$ in profit, but still the trade is not closed (surprised to see the profit is more than the trade capital invested but still it is not closed) and another additional surprise is it has opened another trade in the same night which is running with 150$ profit, both the trades not yet closed.

    Please suggest me is there anything need to be done whether power shut down ?. Still EA will have control once we restart MT after power is on ?. I'm running on Demo account only.

    I've kept the default setup with EURUSD, H1 chart.
    Does anyone are facing the same situation ?
