please note that this is NOT a recommendation for you to purchase the SHARK EA… nor is it a sign of endorsement that this is a good Expert Advisor. i am still testing it at the moment… and the only reason i’m trading it LIVE is because i wanted to see how the slippage (if any) will affect the P&L of each closed trades… which in turn will affect the overall profitablilty of the system.

for the record, i’m running SHARK on the minimum risk setting of 0.1. i’ve also set the Fridaymode setting to “true” to avoid news that typically comes out on fridays.  it will also help to avoid situations where trades are held open over a weekend.  this would attribute to the difference in results between my tests and that of the creator.

so far, SHARK has closed a total of 17 trades (4 losers and 13 winners). although the winners:losers ratio is in our favor, the +9 pips take-profit and -35 pips stop-loss is keeping it’s trading record just below water.

by looking at the P&L in pips, the account has gained +116 pips and lost -140 pips. so we are actually -24 pips down. but an interesting thing to note is the way it traded over the last day or two. just look at the trades below :

the losers are a bummer… but what’s nice to see is the way the SHARK EA detected a good uptrend in the EURUSD at about 1100 GMT… and then capitalised on the move by getting in and out of the market very very quickly (except for the last one which lasted 55 mins). within a short 3 hours, it made 5 consecutive winners… the first 4 trades lasted between 2 mins to about 12 mins only.

i believe we are witnessing the strength of the SHARK EA here… the way it catches a trend and rides it to scalp some pips off the movement of the pair. however, the 9:35 TP/SL ratio is the biggest thing that’s on my mind now. the EA has to win 6 times for very loss to remain profitable. so far my LIVE run of the Expert Advisor has yet to hit that target. so let’s watch and see what happens. it’s going to be interesting :O)

you can also check out the seller’s forwar-test statement by using the investor read-only password that’s mentioned 2 posts down (yes… it’s still working although the creator said that he’ll be changing it periodically). however, please note that the seller’s statement comprises of trades made by both SHARK and GRIFFIN (he is running 2 EAs on the same account!!). to differentiate the trades, you may want to know that the SHARK EA’s take-profit is 9 pips (stop-loss 35 pips). GRIFFIN’s take-profit is 7 pips (stop-loss unclear at this point, but it should be approx 30-33 pips).

from the spreadsheet, you may notice that GRIFFIN may look like the better performer as the WIN:LOSS ration is far superior to SHARK. so please have a good look through the spreadsheet before making a decision on which EA to purchase. it’s your responsibility to make your own analysis. i’m here just to present the facts :O)
